This is a great role for a Web technology specialist with strong front and backend experience as well as technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python or Perl and MySQL. A starting salary of up to £60,000 is available for the right applicant along with pension, health care, income protection, life and travel insurance.
The employer are at the forefront of internet technology and specialise in content delivery solutions with a focus on digital media. The company is well established, have an impressive client base and are backed by a very large parent organisation and this role has arisen (along with a number of other positions) due to a general expansion across the companies technical departments. The role will involve contributing to the ongoing development of the backend platform and to develop new features and interfaces.
Applicants should have development experience across both the front and backend of web solutions and technical skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Applicants should also have experience of database integration (MySQL is preferred but other RDBMS will be considered too) and backend web application development preferably in Python or Perl. Experience of RESTful web services, HTTP, caching, performance and security is also required. Any additional skills in usability, accessibility, UI design as well as internationalisation/localisation issues and/or business logic layer would be a bonus but is not essential.
