Data Engineer - Berlin - Hadoop

An exciting new role for an experienced Data Engineer to join a well-established software company in Berlin! Offering €50,000 - €65,000 + flexible work schedules, flat hierarchies, numerous social events and the opportunity to work with a motivated international team.

The company launched their product back in 2006 and have since gone from strength to strength, servicing both a loyal user base and direct clients through their platform. They are now looking to grow their Berlin team by adding a Data Engineer to assist in evolving and growing their data processing pipeline. You will be working alongside talented Engineers and a focused Business Intelligence team to understand the data they are collecting and analysing.

You will have an excellent background in creating a data pipeline from scratch. You will have knowledge of the Hadoop stack and various SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA and/or vertica is essential. You will also be able to engineer ETL processing through the whole data pipeline, deep knowledge of processing huge amounts of data is key. The company use Tableau to analyse data so experience of this or similar software is great. Any additional skills with Ruby, Python, Java, Golang, Spark, Storm, samza, nimble, AWS, Pig, Impala and/or Apache Parquet would further boost a candidate's suitability.
